Hi, I’m Candace, an introvert, writer, and quiet observer of life. 

I created Quiet Layers as a soft space to reflect, journal, and reconnect with the parts of ourselves we often protect. I live on the Gulf Coast, where the hospitality is sacred, the food is soulful, and Sunday dinners still matter. I’m an MBA student, spent years working in logistics, and recently followed my heart into a new chapter: teaching, creating, and writing from a gentler place. 

This blog is my quiet corner of the internet made for people like me: quiet thinkers, deep feelers, and those who’ve learned how to protect their peace. I’m often the one other’s turn to for calm, guidance, and love and this space is an extension of that part of me.
